Turned My Mourning Into Dancing

Hello faithful family, friends, and followers. We welcome you, appreciate you, depend on your prayers, and hold you in ours. This week has been uneventful in good ways, extra time with family and friends, Joy continuing her creations for Bundles of Love, keeping up with aphasia homework, and our long walks.

With little to report on the events of life, we’ll just share our chosen verses from our Bible reading this week, verses from Psalm 30 that have always been special, but which trumpet our praise and appreciation this side of the accident.

I will exalt you, LORD, for you rescued me...

O LORD my God, I cried to you for help,

and you restored my health.

You brought me up from the grave, O LORD.

You kept me from falling into the pit of death.

Sing to the LORD, all you godly ones!

Praise his holy name…

Weeping may last through the night,

but joy comes with the morning…

Your favor, O LORD, made me as secure as a mountain.

I cried out to you, O LORD.

I begged the Lord for mercy, saying,

“What will you gain if I die,

if I sink into the grave?

Can my dust praise you?

Can it tell of your faithfulness?

Hear me, LORD, and have mercy on me.

Help me, O LORD.”

You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing.

You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy,

that I might sing praises to you and not be silent.

O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever!

I really don’t think there is anything I have to add to words which so graciously reflect the cry of our hearts over the past 18 months. Please consider taking some time to meditate with us as we find solace, encouragement, and strength in the wonderful truths of these verses.

As always, we plead for your continued prayers for Joy and we continue to pray for you, for your health, safety, daily needs and provision, blessing and protection, and an awareness of just how much we appreciate your faithful interest and support.
