“Yes, now I see it all—it was good for me to undergo this bitterness, for you have lovingly delivered me from death; You have forgiven all my sins. For dead men cannot praise you. They cannot be filled with hope and joy. The living, only the living, can praise you as I do today. One generation makes known your faithfulness to the next. Think of it! The Lord healed me! Every day of my life from now on I will sing my songs of praise in the Temple, accompanied by the orchestra.”
Isaiah 38:17-20 spoken by King Hezekiah
Each day, God’s faithfulness fills my heart and mind. God truly gave me personal miracles so I can praise Him every day of my life. All of your prayers to Him from day to day serve me with His love and care, continuing my life in this world so I can love Him and serve Him. This part of my deliverance from death started 1 year and 8 months ago. Then, one year ago (10/1/24) God helped my understanding enough so I wrote my first ‘blog note’ to each of you. Now it is one more year of God working each day with my ability to write to you with more words and thoughts, so I will give you more words to praise God throughout my life.
A large thankfulness is to God and His faithfulness as He works every day helping me to learn more words and the ability to read and understand. This year I am hoping to read the entire Bible so I can learn more about God as well as to learn more and more words. So far I have read 33 Bible books with 33 more, some much shorter, to read by the end of this year. It is a special time for me to spend time reading the Bible each morning and evening.
Another huge thankfulness and gratitude each day is with my dear husband Gary. I am so thankful that even though he was hurt in our accident, it was a very different hurt than mine. He continues to live and love me deeply, helping me with many needs throughout my life including my care, thoughts, learning and enjoyment in our daily time together. I am also thankful for all the blogs he started writing since the accident. He is a gifted writer and helps me learn what happened that I don’t remember on my own. It also gave and continues to give each of you information for our prayer needs as well as praises for God to each of us.
Our family fills me with thankfulness. Our children are grown and have their own families and homes now. I am so thankful for the memory from our past that is growing in my thoughts each day. They have filled me with love, hope and help each day. There is also my original family who is special to me. My mom and her children are still alive with their spouses and families who have prayed constantly for God giving me hope.
We have many friends who fill my heart and thoughts with thankfulness and gratitude. They have been faithful in their prayers each day sharing their love and care through each day. Through my life I have been thankful for each one and now I am even more thankful for their support. God has blessed me with each one.
As God continued to care for our physical needs, he found a new home for us. I am so thankful and grateful about our new home. It feels safe, beautiful out our windows and provides safe places for us to walk at least 3 miles every day. It helps us to grow stronger each day. I especially enjoy the MOA nearby for us to walk before the shops open. Many people like us enjoy walking there for personal health needs including head injury, broken bones, muscle problems, cancer, birth challenges… It is a special time to smile and say good morning to those we see each time we walk.
Through my life I have always helped others through my family, friends, church, and work. Now God has given me the ability to help others in a different way. I am so thankful for the Bundle of Love for mom’s in need who have a baby. Many people around here are not able to provide what they need. God has helped my creativities to learn again how to sew, knit and crochet for new born babies. The ability to serve others in this way fills my heart with thankfulness.
This is a small number of things that I am thankful for each day. Despite an accident that could have killed me, God saved my life to continue on this earth. His loving miracles cause me to shout with joy before Him.
“Shout with joy before the Lord, O earth! Obey Him gladly; come before Him, singing with joy. Try to realize what this means - the Lord is God! He made us - we are His people, the sheep of His pasture. Go through His open gates with great thanksgiving, enter His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and bless His name. For the Lord is always good. He is always loving and kind, and His faithfulness goes on and on to each succeeding generation.” Psalm 100
