Hello faithful family, friends, and followers and welcome to this second anniversary post. After going through many iterations trying to summarize these last two years, I decided it had all been said before and while very personal to us, was probably rather redundant. But I also believe something that can never be shared or emphasized too much, is the courage, grit, determination, and indomitable spirit Joy has shown throughout her recovery and the more I thought about it, the more I felt the best way to show that, was through pictures. So here is our pictorial essay for a very courageous story of survival and recovery...

Even with all these pictures, I cannot fully capture the incredible display we have experienced of God's mercy, grace, and sufficiency over these last 24 months. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank all of you who have followed, prayed for, and supported us so faithfully, we still covet those prayers as we continue the journey of our "new normal" life. And so as we have been lately, we will leave you with the following verses from Psalm 40 that capture so well the marvelous miracles displayed above:

I waited patiently for the LORD to help me,

and he turned to me and heard my cry.

He lifted me out of the pit of despair,

out of the mud and the mire.

He set my feet on solid ground

and steadied me as I walked along.

He has given me a new song to sing,

a hymn of praise to our God.

Many will see what he has done and be amazed.

They will put their trust in the LORD.

Oh, the joys of those who trust the LORD,

who have no confidence in the proud

or in those who worship idols.

O LORD my God, you have performed many wonders for us.

Your plans for us are too numerous to list.

You have no equal.

If I tried to recite all your wonderful deeds,

I would never come to the end of them.
